Health Justice and Equity
Our Work for Health Justice and Equity
Everyone has a right to affordable quality health care—regardless of age, race, or gender. At the Indiana Justice Project, we work to ensure that low-income and vulnerable individuals receive the health care they are entitled to. We do this by:
Advocating for stronger health coverage programs—especially in Medicaid. This includes working to remove harmful barriers to eligibility and coverage. Our work in this area is supported by our Health Law Partnership with the National Health Law Program.
Addressing the social determinants of health by working with health care experts to craft better and more equitable policies—whether it’s food access, or safe and affordable housing, etc.
