About Us
What is the Indiana Justice Project?
The Indiana Justice Project is a non-partisan, non-profit legal advocacy organization. We use all available legal tools to ensure equal justice and opportunity for all Hoosiers. We focus on health equity, economic justice, and providing legal support to communities.
Thousands of Hoosiers have unmet legal needs from health care to housing to everything in between. Although Indiana has a robust civil legal aid and pro bono system, it is not enough to meet the need. For this reason, when working with individuals and communities with legal needs we also think about the “big picture”—asking how the obstacles to justice and opportunity are shared by all Hoosiers. We work with affected individuals, community groups, and partnerships. We look at data and outcomes. And we work to think about the roots of injustice.
